Your Old Rosettes and $ave

Many horse shows, today, are looking to reduce costs. By reusing last year's or last month's rosettes you can realize substantial savings in your awards budget. Hodges Badge Company developed the Rosette Inventory Form (click here!) to help you organize leftover inventory. If you are running a show, or show series, and the printing of regular sets is the same for all, recycle any remaining rosettes. Here's how to use the form:

1. Hand the Inventory form to the person at your show who is responsible for collecting the leftover rosettes. Instead of throwing them away, ask them to count each color, mark it in the Inventory column. Then repack the rosettes & store them flat.
   
   
2. 4-6 weeks before your next event figure out how many complete sets you will need for the show. Take out the Inventory form fill in the 2nd column, "Quantity for next event".
   
   
3. Deduct what you have on hand and fill in the 3rd column "Need to Order"
   
   
4. Give us a call to place your order!

It's that easy!

Note: If your shows run close together (< 4 weeks between each show) you will not have enough time to reorder. In this case it's best to order several shows at once, and store the inventory after each show. You can then deduct your inventory from the last show of the season, or even use it towards next year's show.

Redate Program

If you have a multitude of leftover awards that are printed differently, we suggest using our Redate Program. This allows horse show managers the ability to have the center streamer printed and reattached. The advantage of the "Redate" program, which EXCLUDES Empires, Ideals, and Luxuries, is to recycle 100 or more extra rosettes. To allow credit, rosettes must be in very good condition. We cannot remake rosettes that have been scrunched, soiled, or soaked.

1. Contact your Hodges Badge Company Account Manager for a return authorization number and the correct address for returning rosettes. Rosettes are returned to the factory in which they were originally manufactured - either Rhode Island or Missouri.
   
   
2. Please return your rosettes to us no later than one month after your event. We request that they are shipped back in the Hodges boxes and are shipped via UPS. Please arrange them in the same way they were shipped. If on set cards, please return them on set cards. If rolled, please re-roll them the same way, hook to hook, to avoid scratching the rims. Please do not tie or wrap an elastic around them. We recycle only the rosette tops and will discard damaged rosettes that cannot be suitably remade.
   
   
3. When received, rosettes will be inspected, prepared, and stored for your next event or order. We will send you a letter with an order number that includes the quantity and credit amount of the rosettes that we are holding. Rosettes are stored for up to one calendar year.
   
   
4. When you place your next order, please refer to the 'redate' order number. When fulfilling your new order we will reuse your rosette tops and credit you for each top recycled. If you order fewer rosettes than in storage, we will use as many as we can, and discard the remainder.
