Our 2009 cover contest winner is 13 year old Angela Pollex and Simon Says. On the day of this show, Simon was very reluctant to get out of the trailer, but Angela's patience paid off. The team is pictured here having just won third place for pony hunter over fences at the August 2008 Blue Ridge Hunter Jumper Association’s “Show me the Money” horse show. Angela has been working with Simon, a medium pony owned by Angela’s trainer, Molly Gough of North Creek Farm, and she has progressed from not wanting to enter the ring to winning third place. A portion of the money won will be used to shop for a less fortunate family this holiday season.
